The engagement and wedding ring categories have growth limitations imposed by the fact that they are usually specific one-off purchases. Growth of the other two categories is dependent on the successful promotional efforts of jewelry retailers.

The income category $25,000 - $39,000 is restricted to adult men ages 18 to 29. All other income categories are for adult men ages 18 to 64.

The number of qualified married-men is still below 2008 levels. Nevertheless, income distribution has shifted to the top two categories. The share of qualified prospects with income above $75,000 has increased from 36 percent in 2006 to 44 percent in 2013.

The income category $15,000 - $24,999 is restricted to adult women ages 18 to 29. All other income categories are for adult women ages 18 to 64.

The number of qualified married-women has reached 2008 levels. Nevertheless, income distribution has shifted to the top three categories. The share of qualified prospects with income above $40,000 has increased from 49 percent in 2006 to 60 percent in 2013.
